Carpet making in Iran is seen as a very fine art and a profession. Traditional art that has been passed down from generation to generation. In the past, there were no university courses and courses for learning and progress in this field, and few people did research in this field. But fortunately, from the seventies onwards, with the help of the Ministry of Science, the undergraduate field of carpets flourished in universities. Fields that keep the country’s art and tradition alive. Upon entering this field, students take courses and gain information about the history of carpets, sociology of carpets, types of carpet texture, design, color and fibers.
